The power of pink

According to Lyst.com, Barbiecore was the 2022 fashion trend of the year.

Barbiecore is the trend defined by a bright, vibrant, and very particular color pink. It’s not just a color though, it’s also an attitude defined by confidence and happiness.

For over a year now, pink clothes have prevailed on the runways. In March 2022, Valentino released their Fall collection with more than half of the looks radiating hot pink. Chanel’s Resort 2024 Collection was filled with Barbiecore references, and Barbie could be seen in all things beauty at Versace’s Resort show in Los Angeles.

Last June, photos of Margot Robbie wearing vibrant pink on the set of the new Barbie movie were released, and searches for pink clothing shot up more than 400%.

The “Barbie” movie has inspired collaborations with every kind of fashion house, from the Parisian couture house Balmain to Zara and Vans.

I have always been a fan of Barbie. Her amazing clothes and uninhibited style inspired me to become a Stylist. My desire for all things pink has grown since news of the Greta Gerwig directed movie, and I am excited to list 8 of my favorite Barbiecore looks below.
