2023 Met Gala- Men’s Edition
Every year, on the first Monday in May, the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City becomes the center of the fashion world and hosts a celebration in honor of the newest exhibit. This year, the exhibition, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” celebrates the life and epic career of Karl Lagerfeld. Last nights’ event was a star studded affair and guests, including the men, did not hold back when it came to dressing “to honor Karl,” as the invitation requested.
Men’s fashion isn’t always exciting to me, but when it comes to the Met Gala, I’m always just as interested to see what the men will be wearing as they ascend the stairs to the Metroplitan Museum of Art.

Tom Ford in Tom Ford -That is all.
Pusha T in Thom Browne - This black-and-white double-breasted tweed suit is an ode to the signature tweed of Lagerfeld’s Chanel yet is still uniquely Thom Browne. Also, Pusha T’s contagious smile is further proof of my fashion mantra, “If you FEEL good, you will LOOK good!”
Idris Alba in Gucci - The coolest penguin to exist.
Jackson Wang in Louis Vuitton - If Karl Lagerfeld was in the Matrix.
Roger Federrer in Dior - Effortless and smooth. Just like his moves on the court.
Maluma in Boss - Aye this man is muy caliente! I’m thankful he’s showing us his biceps and the grey suit is a stand-out among a carpet of black and white.
Taika Waititia in Atelier Prabal Gurung - This look is so elegant and reminiscent of early Chanel. There’s something about this look that I find incredibly sexy (sorry, Rita Ora.)
Brian Tyree Henry in Karl Lagerfeld - this is the DRAMA I love to see at the Met Gala! A bold, androgynous look perfect for the occasion!
